CPD Course Provider Application Guidelines
The SGBC Green Mark Professional Qualification Scheme aims to uplift, upskill and better recognise the competency of our industry professionals. Emphasis is placed on the learning and development needs of industry professionals, to ensure that knowledge and skills are continually enhanced for the planning, design, construction and operation of Green Mark certified buildings. The scheme comprises a robust Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework to help our Green Mark Professionals (GMPs) enhance their competencies in the age of industry transformation.
SGBC collaborates with approved CPD Course Providers to support the continued development of our green professionals.
CPD Course Provider Eligibility Criteria
Organisations may submit an application to be an approved CPD Course Provider if they meet the following criteria:
Only government agencies, professional bodies and relevant trade associations may apply to by a CPD Course Provider.
Events or training courses conducted by the organization should impart professional knowledge relevant to Green Mark Professionals. The training materials may cover technical, management, professional development, legal or regulatory topics relevant to the built environment.
Each organization should have an appointed representative who will liaise with SGBC on any CPD matters.
Each application will take approximately 6 weeks to process. SGBC reserves the rights to approve or reject submitted CPD Course Provider applications. SGBC additionally reserves the rights to discontinue an approved CPD Course Provider if the organization does not meet the prescribed conditions or if it no longer aligns with the scheme objectives.
CPD Activity Application Guidelines
Approved CPD Course Providers witl be issued an organisation log•in account to apply for CPD points for individual activities:
1.Approved CPD Course Providers will have to log in and submit their CPD actmties for approval of CPD points.
2.The CPO Course Provider is required to complete and submit the CPD ActMty Application Form at least 1 month before the CPO activity.
3.It will take approximately 1 month to process the application and determane the number of awarded CPD points,
4.Approved CPD activities will be disseminated to Green Mark Professionals, and added to the CPD Calendar of Events on the GMP portal.
5.The number of SGBC.GMP CPD points may then be published as part of the activity information.
